Finally, in December 2020 I purchased 29.9 acres of heavily wooded boggish land with a brook, beaver dam and small pond.  Beautiful, serene, and teaming with wildlife. On a small part of the property, I have my mobile home, yard, garden, and, of course, my beehives.  When I purchased this place the home and property took most of my money.  What I had left I invested in bees, equipment and starting an Apiary.  I’d be going from hobbyist to “pro!”

Never before had I had so many hives!  4 was the most I’d ever had!  Now moving to 10 was a big move and I was so excited.  The birth of Hood Brook Apiary and Honeybees.

My new equipment came and I Assembled, painted and set up the hives on the new hive stands I build.  Each stand held 2 hives.A few weeks later the bees arrived and I installed them in their new homes and my new career as a beekeeper had begun!
