Introducing Hood Brook Bee School — The Official Bee School of Saving the Honeybees

I am genuinely excited to share some big news with the Saving the Honeybees community — one that I believe will open up an incredible opportunity for anyone who has ever wanted to learn the art and science of beekeeping.

As of this spring, Saving the Honeybees is proud to officially partner with Hood Brook Honeybees to bring you the Hood Brook Bee School — and we couldn't be more thrilled about it. This is the official bee school of SavingtheHoneybees.org, and it's everything I wished existed when I was starting out.

What Is Hood Brook Bee School?

Hood Brook Bee School is an online beekeeping education program built around real, hands-on knowledge from people who actually work bees. It's not just a video library — it's a structured curriculum with lessons, quizzes, and live instructor Q&A sessions designed to take you from total beginner to confident beekeeper at your own pace.

Every module builds on the last. You won't be watching random videos in no particular order — you'll be working through a deliberate, practical program that mirrors how real beekeeping knowledge is developed in the field.

What's Covered

The school launches with six full courses covering everything a new beekeeper needs to know — and a few things experienced beekeepers will find genuinely useful too:

How It Works

Enroll, and you'll get immediate access to the full school. Work through the modules in order — each one ends with a short quiz to confirm you've got the material before moving on. Complete the program and you'll have genuine, practical beekeeping knowledge you can put to work in the yard.

Membership is $25 per year, which includes all course content, all future updates, and access to the live Q&A sessions. And remember — the first 20 members pay just $12.50 for year one. That offer won't last long.
