As you may know, we transitioned from a hobby beekeeper to a Business. We invested everything into “the farm.” Sadly, a Devastating New England winter came through and a lot of beekeepers lost many hives. We lost ALL 10! We were totally wiped out. Unlike the other already-established beehives, we had no money from honey sales income the year before so it was Devastating.
With the help of a few friends and a couple of people who sponsored bees, we are fight but are 1/2 way back to where we were. Any and all help Towards overcoming the major losses from the Winter of 2021-2022.
You can donate with a Credit or Debit Card By Selecting that option or pay with Paypal.
How Are Your Donations Used?:
Your donations are used for many things that help Hood Brook Apiary/Hood Brook Honeybees recover from past winter losses as we pursue our Mission and Goals of Increasing Honeybee and Pollinator populations and teaching the public the importance of pollinators. For example, Donations Can Be Used For:
- Over Winter Feeding Costs
- Over Winter Insulation
- General Maintenance and equipment repair and/or updates
But, they can also be sued for:
- Informational brochures and Educational material for the public including schools.
- Observation Hives that are safe, portable, and can be brought to public schools for learning experiences.
Once fully recovered from the Disastrous losses from the Winter of 2021-2022, we hope to no longer need donations and Continue giving back to the community. on our own. In the mean time, any and all donations are a huge help. It doesn’t matter if you donate $1 or $500, both are equally important. We appreciate all the help we can get!
